| i always thought crab spiders blended into its surroundings so green would look less conspicuous than this yellow but maybe it was a warning to keep away from its nest of eggs, in the folded leaf to the right. did not stop my lens from getting close. |

Hi Sue.a very good close up shot of the Yellow spider. good colour and detail. as you say it stands out well against the green leaves. a nice POV. well done TFS.
Nick..
This is an excellent capture of the defending crab spider Sue.
Excellent composition by including the folded leaf so we know what you mean.
I'm glad the spider does'nt have a more green color tone because in this case it's wonderfully viseble against the darker green tones of the leaf.
Sharpness and exposure are spot on and what I like most in this image is the movement in the front legs as if he wants to scare you of.
Perfect work. My compliments.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Harry
Hola Sue.
Unos contrastes muy agradables.
Perfectos colores bien saturados. Los detalles son magníficos. Puedo ver la tela de araña que empieza a formar.
Hasta ahora amiga, JL.

Hi Sue, what a good capture of the yellow Crab spider. Yes, it looks very protective of her nest. It does look good against the green leaves. Well done
Janice
I'm not totally sure but I think it takes them 4 days to chance colors. Maybe she moved there not so long ago.
If it's in your garden it would be interesting to check her color next week.
