| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This Large Red Damselfie was taken at the weekend while out with some other TN members. This was the only one that I spotted whilst we were out by the river but I believe that the others spotted more whilst out in the New Forest. |

Hola Jai, buen macro, nitido, con buena luz y color.
Un saludo
See how well that weekend turned out>?! Wow...everyone wins...This so spot on sharp...I wonder as to why it took you so long to post it? I would have had to be anxious awaiting the time...Very nice Jai...actually better than nice!
Bob
Hello Jai,
Lovely sharp detail showing off the wings very well. Good composition and POV. Where I was in the Forest last weekend the only insects I saw were the ones biting me! TFS,
Lee

Hi Jai
Sorry to get to this so late...i've been very busy with studies and work :(
Anyway, this is a lovely shot of this Large Red Damselfly and i like the way it contrasts here with the green BG...it really makes it stand out better (even to a partially colorblind guy like me :))
The details are very neat and sharp while the DOF is spot-on and keeps the entire bosy of the damsel in complete focus.
However, i have two advices, if i may :)
1. try to leave a bit more room in front of the subject, for perhaps a better composition...but this is always a subjective matter.
2. try sometimes to go down, to the point when you are parallel with the subject; usually this ensures a use of a shallow DOF setting and therefore the best blurred BG :)
Even so, i think this is a great macro shot and i hope to see more from you later.
Bravo and TFS
Horia
PS: how are Godzilla and Megatron? Still as playful as when i was there? :)
