Very fine capture using fill flash, Joe.
Those hair on the face and thorax of the damselfly look sharp as needles.

Hello Joe, my neighbour this time!
A fine close macro of the Common Bluet,(Enallagma cyathigerum) showing good details from the side with fine sharpness.
Though the POV makes the ID difficult I think the WS shows a female Azure bluet (C. puella).

I think this is the first time I'm daring to step into your gallery, Joe!The shot is a wonderful macro!The colours perfect, and the exposure just right!
But what's caught my eye is the seemingly unending list of equipment!I wonder if i can ever afford eeven one of those!And then there's the fact that gizmos and i are poles apart!I'd never understand what to do with it, even I can afford it at some point in time!
Superb work, and what I'd really love say is, I love the passion towards this art, I see on this page!

Very good macro here of this lovely damsel!
You've captured this side view very well, showing some of the essential parts of the ID of this Enallagma. I remember when i was there, that this species was very common...here it is rather local. I found some populations...maybe i'll post a shot myself, soon :)

Anyway, back to yours :)
The details here are gorgeous - pin-sharp and well illuminated by a well calibrated flash work.
The immense DOF also ensured front to back focus, too, making this a spot-on macro photo!

Hi Joey,
a very pretty, impressingly well detailed, well composed close-up. I like the soft pastel colours. The workshop is also very well made, and very attractive to look at, too. Those exquisite black-and-white thorax patterns are making that other damsel fly species look very precious and pretty.
