Hi Nick,
this little bird has a great looking colouration and is a treat to see.We have them here where I live as well but I only ever see them during the winter and at other times of the year they are up in the arctic.I like the point of view and the openness of the image and I know when you focused on it the image looked sharp but at iso 800 it is hard to get the crispness with out noise being a factor,remove the noise and you lose detail.I like this shot and even with the softness it is wonderful to see and I thank you for sharing this little guy with us. Hello Nick,

You seem to get a wondeful variety of small birds in the New Forest. I see very few differnet species in the garden and though I am a member of the Wildlife Trust, there have not been many opportunities to go out this summer.

This is is very pert shot of this acrobatic little bird. She is nicely perched, giving you an opportunity to capture her breast markings as well as her head.
