Hola Helen,
Welcome to TN,
I wish you much success ...
macro beautiful, lovely colors and pov,
friendly greetings

Hello Helen,
First of all, a hearty welcome to TN!
You have made an impressive debut with this picture of a Bumble Bee on a yellow flower.
Your macro shot has all the qualities that make a good picture -- sharpness, colours and overall composition. The details on the bee are also crisp and clear.
Though it is a question of subjective preferences, many of us feel that a composition looks better if we leave more space in front of the subject than at the rear. Try it while editing your images and decide what appears to you to be a better option.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Regards.
Ram

Welcome to Trek, Helen. This is a lovely shot. Crisp details, good exposure, good composition, amazing color. Judging from this shot you already know what you are doing. Thought, if the petals were arranged a bit better, I would agree with Ram on the composition (a bit more room in front). But that's the kind of thing we often learn here and have in the back of our mind every time we compose a shot (though some of us, like me, are slower than others on the "uptake").

Hi Helen,
welcome to TrekNature! You've started with a really nice, bright summery image, with this Bee well placed in the frame and some nice detail too. The swoop of the petals really draw your eye towards the main subject.
tfs and hope to see more from you!
