You captured this Marbled White is a marvelous position - I like it even better than with the wings wide open. The black and white are so elegant. Superfine sharpness and clarity against a lovely background. The composition is beautiful.

Hi Nicholas!

The soft evening light creates a fine atmosphere and give the colours a warm tone. The butterfly is well highlighted and the depth of view is superb. From my point of view, the main subject is a bit too centered, but this is so personal...

Hello Nick,

A fine pose from the 'marbled white' butterfly, allowing you to capture both its wings and its furry body. The good dof shows it off well against the oof b/g.
Might I suggest that a crop of the vegetation, surrounding the butterfly, would give it more attention by bringing it closer to the viewer. I have done a w/s to explain my view. I hope you like the changes and are not offended by me 'messing' with your shot.
