Troposphere

The word troposphere derives from the Greek "tropos" for "turning" or "mixing," reflecting the fact that turbulent mixing plays an important role in the troposphere's structure and behavior. Most of the phenomena we associate with day-to-day weather occur in the troposphere.

Location :

Mew island is the smallest of three islands known as the Copelands. I know this lighthouse (which was 8 miles away) is such a small detail but its presence influences the scene I think.

Hi Stephen!

Just beautiful! At that point that it is difficult to say more. The composition, the lighting and the color management are perfect. I like the tiny line of the sea at the horizon in the golden light. The bright clouds as well as the dark ones are well exposed and please by their color tones and patterns.

The overall atmosphere is pleasant and intriguing at the same time...

I like the theme of your post and the golden colors of the sky are wonderful. The lighthouse, albeit small, anchors the shot well and adds great interest to this minimalistic composition :)

Hi Steve

A very interesting, beautiful and original shot!
I really love the colors and the massive contrast in the sky here! Those heavy clouds really bring out the bright colors of the low sun and vice-versa. Add on top of that the "plane-marks" and you have a terrific setting for such a shot.
The lighthose looks gre, too is is superbly positioned in the frame.
I had a quick look again in your profile from TE adn i saw a similar post there, too, but i like this one better both because of the compo as well as the color of the sea.
