Hi Steve
Another terrific shot from you, my friend!
It's difficult to really understand how wide this lens really is usually...but when you said that this "little" rock here is the size of a bus...well...i think it makes it pretty obvious :)
You did a great job masking the sun with it and i'm amazed by the amount of details you managed to get in the shaded parts here (even though you used some dodge, the details are still impressive).
Lovely composition here, enhanced by the shape and tones of the sky/clouds.
Cheers and TFS

Hello Stephen,
A terrific composition making that big rock the centerpiece of distinct elements, cliffs, water and the sky. Effective use of the grad filter brought out the colors nicely. Well done. Regards,

Hello Stephen!
I hope the rock you were standing on was secure! Wouldn't want you falling in the ocean along with it! Thanks for all your efforts in getting this awesome shot though. The rocks are beautiful among all the grasses but the cloud formations in the sky..wow...beautiful shot. TFS

It is the sharpness of the foreground elements that I like best about that lens. Well, actually I like a lot about that lens. I have 10-20mm and it is a lot of fun. I like the drama it lends to this scene; the angled rock and angled clouds and the deep, deep space. Nice work... again.

I love the tension in that shot, Stephen. : )
I think the angle of that huge boulder makes one suck in one's breath.
The light and the clouds add to the drama.
Another beautiful scene.

Nice moody landscape, though I think for my personal taste I'd go a little darker and a little more contrast in places.

Helo Stephen
Fantastic shot, the DoF is so good and the rock rising out into the sky, the grey sky itself and the far away mountains look realy wonderful.

Hi Stephen,
Great use of that boulder, and the rocks in the forground lead the eye in nicely, although i can't help wondering what the view is like behind it! I agree with Miles (Captive Light)that i would prefer a little more contrast, but thats just personal prefernce.
Very well done!

Hi Steve,
I am really impressed with the technique used here. The light is really special. The range of colors and light in this photo is wonderful. The composition with the razor sharp FG elements and the large rock is perfect, but what I also like is the clarity of everything behind it. That little pathway is just too inviting to not explore.
TFS,
Niek
