Cascade Falls, Tollymore Forest.

Covering an area of almost 630 hectares at the foot of the Mourne mountains, the forest park offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the sea at nearby Newcastle, while within its own boundaries are many splendid vistas of woodland and rivers. The forest is a nature preserve inhabited by a host of local wildlife, including badgers, foxes, otters, and pine martens.

Cascade falls is a 10 metre cascade of water and is one of the most spectular features of Tollymore.

Very magic atmosphere whit the colours of the forest and the water games, thanks for share this perfect work,Luciano

This is an impressive POV and composition; what a beautiful picture! Tones of colors and details are stunning. I like this scenery a lot; it looks like being taken from a fairy tale. I would love to know what the exposure was. Thanks and congratulations!

Although I love the subject and the colors here, I am a bit conflicted about the shutter speed. The large white area in front keeps pulling my eye back to it rather than traveling comfortably into the scene. Thanks for sharing yet another beautiful scene with us.

Hello Stephen,
are you sure this is Northern Ireland and not some tropical place? It seems, aslo according to your image, this ust be a beautiful place. Colours are well balanced and I think the composition really gives a depth effect in the image.

Hi Steve

This really sounds like a cool forst park with plenty of outstanding places for landscape shots - coast, mountain, forest and waterfalls :)
This is indeed an impressive one, presented here superbly from you.
I really like the composition you managed with the smaller fall between the two big and very colorful rocks in the FG, then a layer of smooth water surface and finally the big cascade in the back.
The colors on hte sides of the scene are equaly magnificent and contrast so beautifully with the white foam of the water.
Splendid scene - splendid work!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

PS: retorical question: how wet did you get? :))

Hello Stephen.
Very beautiful. Lovely soft light. Good shutter speed. Great POV and composition. Beautiful colours also. Well done.
Best regards. Steve.

Hi Stephen,
once again another masterpiece. I really like the reflected light on the wet rocks in the foreground, the scattered leaves and the exposure is superb. Lovely earthy, natural colours and as always an excellent composition. Looks like a great location to shoot at.
