[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Nine Glens of Antrim radiate outwards towards the Irish coast from the mountainous heartland of the county, cut through the black basalt by rivers and further gouged by ancient glaciers.

Of the nine Glens of Antrim "Glenariff" is referred to as the 'Queen of the Glens'. The small village of Waterfoot lies at the mouth of the Glen. The upper part of the glen contains some excellent walks through the forest and down alongside the river as it flows over several waterfalls.

Well how low can you go? For me this meant getting my bottom wet LOL

Hi Stephen ,

This is my personal favorite of all the falls, such is the impact, achieved with painstaking planning and execution for this Queen.
the moss lit by the light and the blurred flow in the fore ground and the yellow maple leave is stunning.

Hi Stephen,
A very nice shot from a great POV indeed! Well composed, excellent flow in the water and great autumn mood.
Greetings, Mike

Hi Steve,
I remember this location from a previous posting. Then I though it was a wonderful falls, but with this low POV it became even better. I really love the way you used the colored leaves to draw the eye into the photo. I am also impressed with the good control on the exposure. The patch of sky does not overpower the composition. The details are very impressive and the clarity is stunning.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Stephen, what a romantic sight, coming out the King Arthur stories. I like the way you used the wide angle, with the low POV and the very saturated colours, sharp and clear. Wet bottoms sure know what they do. My pts disappeared so fast! Thank you,

Francine

Hi Stephen,
Looks like a beautiful place to visit.
Its nice to have the walkways, but sometimes they put fences in the most unfortunate locations.
Good on you for getting wet to get this.
I bet you put that one big leaf on the rock, just to finish off the scene ?
Nice capture.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,
A wet bottom is hands down much better than a wet camera, wouldn't ya say?
Lovely imagery with the wet-bottom POV making it a fabulous capture.
"A good photograph is knowing where to stand"..or sit in this case :)
I always enjoy viewing your work..because I can just sit on my "bottom" and enjoy the ride ;-}
Very well done mf,
Howard

Hi Stephen,

Great shot. the colours and details are wonderful and I love the leaves. I'm guessing another overcaste day for such wonderful saturation in the colours.

Hi Steve

Just a quick one today.
Another splendid autumnal landscape with a very beautiful and strong contrasting FG. I really like the big difference between the sharp texture of the moss and leaves and the silky water.

Bravo and TFS

Hello Stephen,
Always easy to give smileys...
Wonderful wide angle composition as always.
In addition moody autumn colours.
Well done
