Fires of Antrim - Whitepark Bay

Situated about 7 miles west of Ballycastle, Whitepark Bay is about 2 miles wide opening straight into the Atlantic ocean and accessible from either the car park at the top of a steep climb or from Ballintoy harbour which is just around the headland in the distance to the east. Neolithic man chose this beautiful place as an early home and a tumulus can be seen among the dunes.

Hello Stephen. Shot that I have always love to look at and really looking forward to create one. Excellent depth of this very well metered exposure. The sharpness and the dreamy look of the foreground is amazing. The ambiance and the glow is just stunning. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Wow... that is dramatic. I particularly like the light on the foreground rock.

Hi Stephen

Great moody sunset. Superb composition with all those elements to look at, especially the blurred whitewash. Great long exposure and filter use.

Hello Stephen,

A singularly beautiful image. The colors of the sky contrast with the surface of the water nicely, and the misty, swirling look of the water is very mysterious and attractive, gives sort of a mystical feeling to the image, very nice!
