Fires of Antrim - Sea of Atonement

While capturing this one I can tell you that one of my boots was slowly filling with water as the surf smashed its way in. Luckily I had the tripod legs well anchored into the sand to keep the tripod steady. This was probably the best sunset Iv ever seen and the real display was when the sun fell below the horizon.

As far as PP work and colour saturation, not much has been added except to enhance the blue in water and sky. Very much a stunning fiery sunset which I rarely get the opportunity to capture. Yes very much:

WOW Steven!

Picture worth not one but thousand boots filled with water :-) Probably one of your best seascapes. As always DOF, composition and place are perfect, but this times colours of sky are stunning. Pure beauty!

Stephen, this is outstanding. You did good on this capture. Congratulations. I hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Steven. I must admit i dont often comment on this tyoe of picture , but this has just jumped out of the screan at me. The colours are amazing . the compostion with the rocks and clouds make this a first class picture. very well done TFS.
Nick..

You have opened my eyes a bit more today .

Hello Stephen,
You shouldn't expect a surf if you look at your image:-)
Beautiful light and it's edited very well through your filter.
The sunset can do a lot as well.
Good artistic approach and well done.

Well, if I had a new 5D camera I don't think I would be putting my tripod in the ocean!!! I suppose if you keep making photos like this and selling them you could have all the cameras you wanted! It is so fortunate to have such interesting rocks along the coastline.... so many compositional opportunities. Thanks for sharing yet another of your unique photos.

You never cease to amaze me with your landscape shots!
This one has such a great atmosphere to it.
As always a perfect composition, crystal clear and very well exposed.

Inspirational work, Stephen!

Hello Steve - awesome colours - I don't think I've seen any better. The water looks like mist and that sky is so brilliant - well done

Hi Steve,
Is it me, or are we always of sync when it comes to posting photos. I always seem to be away when you post one of your impressive scapes. I see you got yourself a new toy. I am sure that this camera will give you even better photos of an even higher quality.
The sky in this photo is very impressive and they way it contrast with the cool blue water around the very beautiful rocks is awesome. As Evelynn wrote, you are fortunate with this type of coastline.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Stephen
I don't know if you still visit here, but I thought I'd post a comment anyway.
All of your landscapes are stunning but this is something else! Absolutely amazing! The sky is almost once-in-a-lifetime good and the work you have done with the blues in the water is excellent. Absolutely breathtaking.
If I were to criticise anything I'd say that I wish that the rock in the bottom left corner wasn't there.

Great one.Outstanding...
Regards,
Sri
