I was going to re-post yesterdays ellipse image for a noise free colour corrected version but you can view that in workshop.

This image is not taken with the telescope but my 100-400 Canon lens. I was hoping to include some sort of landscape feature as part of the composition but the eclipse was to high in the sky, maybe a building of some sort would have made a great picture also. BIG BEN in London well I sure someone would have thought of that.

Anyhow Iv taken a little break from both Trek sites and will continue to for a while as I have a lot to sort out. I repay my critiques and have a look to see what Iv missed lately.

Hello Stephen,
Another cool shot of the eclipse. This gives a better view on the night sky that day. Also the wider composition with three stars is more spacy and some 3D look to you shot.
Best greetings and TFS!
Michal

Great pictures and very good composirion in both of them, the stars in the first picture give a good balancing for the picture.

Toutes mes félicitations Stéphane le résultat est grandiose .... merci pour ce partage

Hi again Stephen

This too is a splendid shot of yesterday's eclipse.
The fact that it's taken with a normal zoom lens and not with a big and powerful telescope somehow makes it more touchable...know what i mean?
Anyway, it's just as sharp and colorful as your last post (from the WS) and the fact that the picture also includes some stars is great to the overall composition.
I'm sure something like the Big Ben would have been fantastic in the shot...darn that high angle :(
I don't understand one think though: why bad omen?

Anyway, Bravo for this one, too, TFS and have a great week!
Horia

Hi Steve,
Very good work mf. The stars balance and add greatly to your shot..The WS is a good improvement of yesterdays post IMO.
I'm assuming the title "Bad Omen", is in reference to old folklore or myth connected with the lunar eclipse then. I'm not up on my history ;)
Excellent.

Hi Steve,
How did you get the black sky this black? Just amazing, and it really brought out the wonderful color of the shaded moon. The few stars really add to the composition.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Steven, you lucky man!
I didn't saw this fantastic event because of clouds, clouds, clouds... Fortunatelly I can see it on your photo. Needless to say this is one of the best eclipse shots I've seen in my life! Everything is perfect here. Most of all I like composition with detailed, 'dusty' moon and three stars on black sky. Your Greek is very good also :-)
