I don't know the name of this fish, but it is common to the waters around the Cayman Islands.
AnimalExplorer identified it as a parrotfish, a member of the perciform fish. They feed on many organisms near coral reefs, and in doing so they protect the reef from becoming choked with algae. (info from Wikipedia)
I achieved clarity by having a good original, and by subtle adjustments in Photoshop to desaturate the background. |
