Not much to say this time...
Is it Diptera family or some small kind of Vespidae? I am not an expert of flying insects...if You know this little guy- give me a note!
Thanks for watching! |

Hello Adrian,
Very nice composition. This is a sawfly (Tenthredinidae). Good POV, DOF and sharpness. Beautiful colours.
Cheers,
Mariki
Hello Adrian!
Marie is right, this species is not a fly (Diptera) but a member of Tenthredinidae family (Hymenoptera). Anyway, nice picture of rather rarely presented insect gropup on TN :)
Best greetings,
Radomir
PS. Thank you for the workshop to my Irish landscape picture :)
Hola Adrian.
Buena macro y nitidez.
Tampoco sé el nombre de este insecto, lo siento.
Un cordial saludo, JL.

Hi Adrian,
a nice Tenthredinid you have here. For ID there is a great site, www.rutkies.de/tenthredo/index.html. It looks like Tenthredo notha to me.
My best regards
