| The Gannet is larger than you might think as it feeds in coastal waters at sea but is about the size of a Goose. They live in colonies in remote areas usually islands on steep cliffs. They travel vast distances looking for shols of fish. This photo was taken off the west coast of Scotland across from the Isle of Arran on the Kintyre peninsular. It is one of a group of about fifteen birds feeding of the shore. Because of the distance from shore. I have had to crop quite a large area and some sharpening was required. |
