| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Took an enchanting Easter Sunday walk along the river Annan with primroses decorating the woodland embankments. Each flower is on a solitary stalk and has a long tubular calyx and broad yellow petals, often with orange markings in the centre. As distinctive as the flowers, the oblong, toothed leaves are in basal rosettes.
Perennial.
Flowering time February to May, or earlier.
Flower size 2 - 4cm wide |
