| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Once again, like many years, perhaps in smaller number than in ancient times, the sea birds come back to the cliffs to breed. This day was dull and cloud-covered and the sea appeared gray, a circumstance that I liked as the white and the quasi-black feathers of the guillemot were tamed showing the delicate and aerodynamical shape of this bird of long and sharp bill. This is the bridled guillemot, with a subtile white ring and line on the head marking the eye. Books tell that this form is more abundant in the North.
The picture was taken with a Nikon D200 camera, a Sigma 80-400 lens with OS activated, ISO400, 1/640, f8 without tripod and a slight light of flash to fill shadows. |
