[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a bit of a fun image showing how we set up to photograph the images that I have posted recently.

Feeders containing a variety of nuts and seeds were set up in a couple of trees, plus a gound feeding tray between them.

I then concentrated on catching shots of the birds as they would wait in the trees to come and feed.

This image shows the variety of birds that we attract, including the lovely Great Spooted Woodpecker, Siskins and Goldfinches.

I would use either my car or our old caravan as a 'hide' as the birds were well used to them and weren't really put off by me being in either.
Unfortunately the weather was pretty bad so most shots were taken in cloudy and wet conditions meaning I had to use a wide aperture and very rarely managed a shutter speed above 1/320.

This is a good insight into "ploys" you use to attract birds, Gary :-).
I like all the images in this collage; they present a sort of sequence of events happening around the feeds. I had no idea what feeds looked like, so this is a novel experience for me.

Like I had said in one of my posting I'm not to crasy about picture on feeders , but I will
sayon your posting that this a nice presentation ,it also give us an idea on the type of bird you have in your area and on the feeder that you are using.

Nice presentation of the ways you attract birds. And you really attract beauties. I especially like the two upper shots. Wonderful colors and details even though the pictures are small.

Need to try use an extended flash in the rain, work wonders. I have my feed station set at the edge of the woods so I can get shafts of light and the greens from the ferns. I use an extended flash when it rains or there is heavy overcast to supplement the lack of light. Nice work showing the setup, well done.
