A very good close up of this robin!
I like the clear details got on their plumage, the orange ones makes a great colour contrast, and stands up from the image.
Like the catchligh and the confidence show by the bird, letting you approach so close to him.

Wonderful colors! That orange breast is vivid! You got the glint in the little guy's eye, even! :)
I like the way you managed to capture the texture of the feathers....the breast looks soft and fluffy, the body is a little rougher.

From a long time viewer of pics...to taker and back to viewer again, I tell you this kind of wonderful shot almost look Chroma-Keyed but it isn't. You caught it in a natural environment with perfect backdrop.And the almost subtle earth tones are marvelous. It takes a good eye to make a good picture from earth tones. Wonderful work Gary.

I love the look in this Robins eye.... "feed me" is a perfect name for this image... Gary ;o)

You have managed to capture lots of details and the eye is just perfect.

It seems to me though that there is a small colour cast or something. Have you done any white balance here or? I hope you don't mind that I did a workshop trying to change this.

a ce rouge gorge si delicat a photographier,il ne vient pas souvent sur les mangeoires le garnement.
globalement une bonne photo,notament l'exposition bien maitrisée,par contre le portrails me semble un peu trop saturé.

I use that quote all the time too.What a super close up of this robin red breast.It tilts itself with that subtle inquisitive look.Very good POV.The colours are natural,and the detail in the plumage...well I can almost count the individual feathers.Beautiful catch light in the eye.TFS

Hi Gary,
what a lovely shot of this little robin.You show very good detail in this one and the colour is outstanding as I count 5 distinct colours.Unlike the American robin your robins are much more rounded in body shape and look to be somewhat smaller too.I like the breast colour,it almost looks florescent.So this little one was a wee bit of a mooch,how cute.Tfs.
