[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello all,
Today - Male Deer (Stag) photographed between Black Mount Reservoir and Bridge of Orchy, during my recent trip to The Highlands of Scotland. I don't know much about typical behaviour of these animals but this one was definitely not a typical one, very relaxed and not bothered by tourists. It chew the grass most of the time and occasionaly hold his head up and 'posed' for photography. Beautiful animal, I hope you agree.
Thanks for any critiques and comments,
Have a good evening!
Tomasz

Beautiful photo of this deer in an equally gorgeous habitat. Makes me want to visit. Depth of field is masterfully done... detail is exquisite... shadows and highlights excellent. Love the cloud cover too...

Hi Tomasz!

Very bright and detailed image that's very sharp as well! I'd like to read more about pp, wonder if there was any special filter used. It really looks great, TFS!

Best regards,
Andor

Hi Tomasz
Great shot of this stag. The light and clouds really add to the shot. You have also captured the scenery well - just a slight pity about the 'manmade' conifer plantation on the left. I suppose one should remember that the Scottish moors are also not really natural - humans removed most of the Scot's Pine, alder and birch that should be growing there millennia ago.

The behaviour of the deer is definitely not typical - the left antler looks like it hasn't grown properly. Perhaps this has left him unable to compete with other stags and so he has become a loner. I just hope he doesn't eat too much of the ragwort flower in front of him! ;p

Kind Regards

Vinny

Tomasz.
This is wonderful. It looks like a well composed painting. The BG scene is attractive, but to have the stag standing right out in front of you - just great.

Hi, Tomasz,

many thanks for your comments and encouragement at my bee photo.

wow, here you have a beauty. I like the composition a lot - together with the sky, hills, the handsome deer, grass and flowers - it becomes a great landscape painting.

thanks for sharing this wonderful capture!

Hi Tomasz,
Welcome to TN my friend! I am sure that you are a great photographer like your Brother Adrian! Really perfect shot in all around!
TFS and greetings from TRNC,
Bayram

As tame as he appears I wonder how he has avoided hunters. This is a wonderful photo because your stag is standing in front of that vast open space. It is unusual to see a deer that far from cover. Exposure and sharpness are really good.

Hi Tomasz,
Welcome to TN. So, from now we have not one, but two high level photographers from the Szatewicz family. :) Absolutely great compo, brilliant sharpness. Masterful image. Although I feel colors are a little, but truly a very little undersaturated.
Tfs, have a nice Sunday, László from Hungary

Siema,

Pozdro!
Adrian

Hello Tomasz,
What I like about this shot is not only the sharp capture of a fine Red Deer stag, but the view behind it up to the mountains on the skyline.
I see it is standing by some yellow ragwort flowers that are poisonous to horses: I wonder if it eats them?
TFS this fine image,
Regards,
Ivan
