This picture comes from on of my trips to Isle of Skye. As I entered the valley I was really enchanted by it's immense beauty. Rich-green coloured slopes, sinuous road in the distance, quite an interesting foreground to use - all this was a reason to take this shot.

Technical specs : no filters - as the contrast in the scene was really extreme, HDR technique, tripod

Hi Piotr,

i know this area a little myself, and you've done a great job of representing it here. Everything is just right, the foreground interest, great control of exposure shooting into the sun and that excellent DOF. I'm sure i've seen this shot before somewhere, maybe TE?

Cheers

Paul

Hello piotr,
Magnificent lanscape shot. I like the composition here mountains, road, sky clouds, water canal, rock tree and the sun. Perfect. well done with nice use of DOF,

Mahesh

Hi Piotr,
I see you used HDR technique...never done this. I wonder if this is a great tool for enhancing the image...if you compare it to a shot without HDR use.
Wonderful picture. Great sight. A cool image of Scotland; into the light!

Fantastic scenery!
The colours, contrast and exposure is absolutely great! The little detail with the winding road is superb. Very nicely composed!

Piotr

Great shot... some lovely colours and detail shown in it. The road helps to pull the eye into the picture and the foreground rock is excellent.

PS I'm in Scotland again in February, fingers crossed for some better weather!
