Hi Gary
An unusual POV, which, in my opinion works very well. The colours and DOF are very nice.
Incidentally, the tree-line in much of upland Britain was probably quite low before clearances started - a lot of it was moorland, but with a wider range of species.

Hi Gary,
Great shot accompanied by a great note too. That BG really makes this stand out from just another Deer shot. The feeling of elevation and wild ground is brilliant. Nice light and colours too. I can't wait to try to get something similar when i visit here. Is this near to the Lairig Ghru at all?

Hi Gary,
Very different post from you and I like it! The deer are wonderful but even without them it would be a beautiful landscape. I love the colors - don't see much green here. Nice details - the antlers are amazing. Wonderful dof. Very nice.

Hi Gary, very nice scene and compositon. The Deer are taking it easy on the hill. The shot has good perspective with the lowland in the background. Light and colours are v good. Lovely scene.

You are quite funny in your caption, Gary :-).
Your Scotland quite reminds me of my native Himachal Pradesh in India.
The British never failed to make a comparison between the two while they ruled India. I must make it at least once to Scotland in my remaining lifetime. I spent half a month in England in 1995 but was too busy visiting schools in Midlands to make a trip up there.
This is such a lovely pastoral picture with two of the 'dear' resting drowsily in the sunshine. The vale seen from the ridge also seems to be engulfed in peaceful tranqullity of a warm summer day.
I love the atmosphere in this picture, maybe due to nostalgia factor.
Thanks, anyway, and best regards.

You have captured the splendor in an area of which I am not familiar. It seems nature is comfortable there...while here in the US we tend to play the hunter game a bit too much and nature is a step ahead...staying away much as possible....
Beautiful "painting" of a wonderful scene. I like this style very much.

Hi Gary
It is lovely to see them where they belong. In the south we soon won't have any green land left with the governments directives on house building. The greenbelt land is slowly going. This is just beautiful, wild and natural.

Great POV, really creates a secretive atmosphere to the image. I can almost imagine myself stalking the deer and peering over the top of a hill to take see them. Lovely colors, and the DOF is excellent. Good detail. Very nice composition, too. Well done and TFS.

Hi Gary.
It is a great environmental image to go with your notes. The composition with the DOF is great, gives the feeling of this high advantage point they are on.
Very nice
