Couple of Red Deer (hinds) met around the slopes of Buachaille Etive Mor, Highlands.
Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) is one of the largest species of deer in the world. The species discussed here is the European Red Deer that inhabits most of Europe and the Caucasus Mountains region and Asia Minor west of the Caspian Sea. It also inhabits the Atlas Mountains region between Algeria and Tunisia in northwestern Africa, being the only species of deer to inhabit Africa. Red Deer have been introduced to other areas including New Zealand and Argentina. In many parts of the world the meat (venison) from Red Deer is widely used as a food source.
Thanks for watching,
Damien. |

Hello Damien
Beautiful landscape image you're showing us here with the two Red Deer as a beautiful extra.
Wonderful to see how they seem to have spotted you and looking towards your and the viewers direction.
Composition, sharpness and exposure are spot on.
Have a great weekend, Harry
