[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this yesterday evening,2nd July. At first I was thinking,at last some sunshine, the clouds will clear, the weather will warm and summer will finally start.
Just as I was pressing the shutter release I felt a fat drop of rain once again, it had been maybe 30-40 minutes since it had last rained!
I suppose on my days off I will practise my art of taking images of one soggy animal or another. 2" of rain today. It's got to stop sometime.
Then again it's the old adage of life in the Highlands, you can tell the difference in the seasons by the angle of the rain.
Ho Hum!

Hi Gary. your not alone its rained down south for days. a nice landscape showing the clouds very well. I like the sun rays. and the sky line broken by the trees. very well done TFS.
Nick..

PS summers on the way!!!

Beautiful shot - - - it's one of those spiritual photos. I always thought there was something "Godly" about the rays emerging from behind the clouds like that. Maybe it's the symbolism of it.

Sounds like we're all getting a wee bit of rain. We've have almost 4" since yesterday afternoon. The ground is already saturated so the creek in front of the house is on the highest rise yet. Anymore rain and I'm not sure what will happen.

Nice work capturing a weather moment! I can tell just about what I've heard may be true about this area...and all by this pic....A glimpse of the sky....very well...

Hi Gary

A lovely, moody, shot - which makes the last few days look a lot better than they felt! I drove back home from Skye via Inverness and I think I had the wipers off for about 30 minutes the whole journey!!

Hi Gary, I guess we should show the world what a lousy summer we are having, make the most of it and shoot it anywyay. This shot is an excellent catch with the glimmer of light bursting through the clouds. Very nicely composed. Well done.

Hi Gary,

That is quite a sky! I like the contrast of the dark and clear portions. The sun rays make the picture! Those of you with too much rain complain - and those of us with no rain complain even more. Monsoons start here next week so we will be talking about too much rain and wind. Never happy.

Jane

Misty image, Gary, and well captured: I love this kind of weather (please, don't be angry, I didn't mean EVERYDAY....), so I'm a bit envious....
Regards,
Violetta
