Old Man of Stoer:

The beautiful mountains of Coigach just north of Ullapool hold some of the best sea cliff & mountain crags in Scotland. The most impressive sea-stack on the North West coast of Scotland is of course the 200ft high "Old man of Stoer". It took a little bit of walking from the nearest road about 5 mile round trip over wet and muddy terrain because of the heavy rains but worth it.

Hi Stephen, I have seen this location on TV many times and this is a very well composed view of it. I always like your foreground detail and the main subjects sharpness. Great light, colours and detail and textures. As always, great shot.

Lovely shot Stephen, this is an amazing landscape and you've captured it from a great angle with lovely light to boot.

I wouldn't want to be a lost ship around there!! Must be loads of wrecks in the area?

Hi Steve

Although you have a lot of coastal landscapes, i find this one quite refreshing and interesting :)
First, it's shot in mid-day and with a fast shutter speed. Although i very mich like the opposite effect, too, it's gret too see some photos of such quality like this, too. I actually love the ripples on the water here and the clear foamy areas around each rock.
Second, it's not shot with your UWA, but with the Sigma i have, too, fact that is a good learning opportunity for me.
The shot is superbly composed and has some amazing contrasts and colors. The perspective is majestic and the expsure is very well handled, too.

Bravo and TFS
