| This Heron was taken on the banks of the river Dee just outside Braemar. It was very hard to get near to it as there was not much cover to get behind. They seem to see you before you see them and are very timid. The heron live in Britain all year round and feeds on fish in shallow water. They will also eat worms and insects. The photo was taken at mid day and the weather was quite dull but not raining. |
