| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This shot was taken in woodland about eight miles from the town of Grantown-on-Spey in Scotland. The day was fairly bright and not much wind. The Chaffinch feeds mainly on insects and seeds, lays between three to six eggs in the months of April and July. The incubation is eleven to thirteen days. It is the only one I have seen with such bright yellow stripes on the wings. |
