Well, as you can see, another mountain landscape, which means one thing... I'm back from another holiday and have a lot of catching up to do.

This photo is of Loch Rannoch and a rather cloudy start to the day. Cloud not mist! I wanted to show that even on the most unlikely of days...

It was one of those mornings when you sat there thinking what on earth is there to photo - why even bother getting the camera out. And then came a slight gap in the clouds. On the standard lens, it wasn't worth getting the camera out (see workshop), but on the bigger lens, on full zoom, zooming in on the only patch of anything other than cloud, a much better scene was spotted (even if everyone else didn't see it and could not for the life of them work out what it was I was photoing).

Taken using a tripod, timer and mirror lock up, to try to prevent blurring other than by cloud... I had managed to damage both my UV(0) and Skylight filters at this point, so no filters used...

Converted from RAW, cropped and resized. Contrast has had to be increased.

Hope you like it and tonight I'll start on the catching up...promise.

hello Emma,
Very good foggy landscape, I like the fog running up the mountain and its effect in light.

Hi Emma,
Lovely... Very moody!
An image like this leaves a lot to the imagination of the viewer... I like it!

Hi Emma, great photo, perrty much in a haze, Great soft colors, TFS Kyle

Lovely capture Emma, I would be tempted to increase contrast on this just a little. Great atmosphere and I love the horizontal framing, well done.

Hi emma!
It's amazing view!
I'm impressed of this great shot. Fantastic atmosphere.

I like it very much. Such a sense of foreboding! It is a wonderful shot - and the sun does not always have to be shining for a great photo...

Hi Emma,
Good to see you back. How was the trip and how was it staying in a upscale house? (read cabin i.o tent) Great moody photo with actually some good details. As Pablo mentioned this leaves a lot to the imagination of the viewer.
TFS,
Niek
