[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot on my way up to Castle Campbell, there are many small waterfalls around here, but I liked this one the best. The light from the sun just appearing at the top of the shot and the bridge add a bit of character to the shot for me.

Shot as slow as I could hand-held, will need to go back one day with my tripod.

Castle Campbell is sited in a particularly attractive position at the top of Dollar Glen, a steep sided, wooded ravine. Once known as Castle Gloume, it stands between two streams, the Burn of Sorrow and the Burn of Care. The oldest surviving part of the castle is the tower house built in the mid 15th century by Colin Campbell, the first Earl of Argyll. In 1490 he was granted permission to change the name of the castle to Castle Campbell.

The tower house is in an excellent state of preservation, with four floors, three of which are vaulted. There are fine views from the roof. A more recent range of buildings built in the early 16th century has been a ruin since Royalists burnt it down in 1654, after the castle was garrisoned by Cromwell's troops. The tower house was maintained and used as a residence by the Argylls until the early 19th century.

I'd say you did pretty well with holding your breath! A lovely shot, the bridge does add some charm to a lovely waterfall. The climate there looks so simular to where I live, I think it would feel a bit like home. Wonderful green colors, I especially like the ferns hanging onto the side of the rocks. Excellent shot.

Intresting image Martin good slow sped hand held shot, Try clicking the shutter as you breath out steadily it takes some practice but it how target rifle shooters steady them selves even the one who run between targets)
The notes are more TE than TN with the details of the castle rather than about all those ferns mosses and Liverworts coating the wall of the canyon.I expect some of them to be rarities in this sort of situation.

Another pleasant scene Martin with lots of detail and good speed on the water...well done.

Nice work Martin, it's a very interesting scene I like the effect of the long exposure on the waterfall. You did well for hand held at 1/25. Well done.

Hello! In some very special way, you have composed this photo to convey an ageless scene. The colour of the sky is certainly different, and adds to the illusion. Colours are so harmonious! Looks almost like a rain forest. Great job!

Nothing in this photo really pops for me. The top is washed out and the lower part, although properly exposed, is boring. The waterfall may show a blurred effect caused by a 1/25 sec exposure, but overall the image is just nothing special. A ND filter and a tripod could have salvaged this shot. Keep on keeping on Martin. The lighting was beyond your control and you did the best you could with the equipment you had. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Martin. I like the composition you have used here very much. This is a very attractive scene. Well done with the low shutter speed, too. Yours, Andrew

G’day Martin Beautiful image. Excellent exposure, focus, detail, and DOF. Well done!
