The Misty Isle

The Isle of Skye is referred to in Gaelic poetry as ( The Misty Isle ) An Island of history, romance and stunning landscape. The Cuillin range inspires awe whenever you see them, and never more than when you see them from Elgol.

Hello Stephen,
Your image is poetry. Very mysterious...
The name and title are also poetry...The Isle of Skye!
Congrats
Annick

Hi Stephen!

You have made a very artistic picture that could be the background for an adventure movie. From my point of view, due to the probable post processing, it's a bit too far from reality, but it's very well done. The lighting, the composition and the colors are simply superb!

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Steve,
A very moody capture of the Loch.
Its hard to tell with the long exposure, but is there a mist over the water.
It kind of hard to tell which is water and which is mist.
A stunning effect though.
Cheers
Steve

This is quite an eerie image and quite beautiful. Your images would make such wonderful illustrations some misty, romantic Scottish novels. They are wonderful. You could sell them.

Oh Stephen - this is a beautiful photo. Well composed showing the dramatic sea and sky making it very pleasant to look at. The details of fantastic clouds are great, as well as the misty rocky foreground.
BRAVO!

Hi Steve

This really does look like a fairytale place!...that or something from the Lord of the Rings :)
It's a fantastic landscape that almost seems surreal due to its atmosphere and shapes. The water in the FG is so blurred that it really looks like a thick low mist and contrsats in texture with the rocks it splashes on. Also here, the bigger rock from the right is equaly impressive because it looks like it's made of multiple vertical payers of stone...such a great 3D effect!
Farther away, the mountains in the horizon are actually quite "spooky" - their shape and dark colors are very grimm, fact that makes them so appealing for such a photo. And, on top of everything, you have those massive dark clouds that just push down with a preassure that one can almost feel just by looking at the scene.
All these elements, composed beautifully, make a brilliant sight that you so well captured here.

Bravo and TFS
Horia
