What a treat to see this beautiful Stoat so close at the side of the road, eating a dead Rabbit. We pulled the car right up beside it and luckily for me he stayed there for quite a while. Thought I'd missed a rare opportunity as a load of my first shots came out all blurred. Thankfully I got some great ones, including this one of him licking his lips.

Hi Karen. This is an excellent shot of the Stoat. I live in dorset and dont often see them. great detail in the fur. and rich but natural colours. with the great pose of him licking his lips. you have used the light so well. good picture all round. TFS.

This is an amazing shot!
I have occasionally seen them running on the stone walls but have never known them remain still!
I love the way you have caught him licking his lips ... even if they are bloody! Great detail and a real twinkle in his eyes!
