[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken looking northwards from the north east of Skye. I think the rock pillars in the distant headland are basalt, formed from slow coooling volcanic rock god knows how many millions of years ago.

The sky in this shot was a bland whitish grey, so i have adjusted it's levels a little to bring out some definition, with limited sucess. The view is nice though!

Hi Paul, Firstly I commend you on your bravery, theres no way on earth you would get me as close to the edge of these cliffs as you appear to have been, were you right on the very edge or were you in a helicoptor?

It's a very nice seascape and the scenery is very dramatic, definatly a place to revisit on a stormy day I think. A minor nit would be that the horizon is not quite level but that is an easy fix in PS so not a big issue.

TFS,

Mark.

Hello Paul, great view.
Very beautiful coastline photo.
Thanks for sharing, Jan-arie

looks like you found some water in a waterfall. When I was on Skye (a couple of days earlier than you) the waterfalls I went to see were very empty.

Where about on Skye were you?

great seascape and cliffs. Mark as pointed out the only nit with it, so I'll just ditto his comment.

Hi Paul,
Impressive coastline! as Mark said, I'd only be there flat on the ground. Sharpness is good, but horizon dropping on the right.
Anyway it looks beautiful and spectacular!
Well done and TFS

Hi Paul,
I really like the front part of the photo, it has such beatiful colors and light, and the waterfall adds extra dimension. I dito Mark on the horizon as well, but I also feel that the sky could need some work.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Paul,

I agree with Niek and Mark's comments. The POV is wonderful as is the wonderful color and clarity of the water. The top third of the image is the weakest. Once a sky is overexposed there isn't much one can do in postprocessing. Sonetimes the only thing you can do is crop most of it off. Some of the greens look a little oversaturated and then there is the horizon line in that top third also.

Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us.
