[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My photographic note book is a little lacking for this day...Loch Voil seems the most likely but I cannot be 100% on this...if anyone recognises this as Loch Katrine or something else in the area please feel free to set me straight.

This is a late afternoon shot about an hour or so before sunset. The sky had been cloudy for most of the day and we were lucky enough to get a little clearing in the cloud here, the sun illuminates the beginning of the autumnal colour very well. The reflections act to heighten the impact and the stones provide some blanance with the wedge and the clouds.

I hope you like it.

The "state" should be Stirling but it's not on the list.

I've given up using points so feel free to comment, critique, leave points or don't leave points - it's completely up to you!

Hi Paul

The light is subtle but beautiful here. Nice warm tones. The yellow trees look so vibrant. Lovely composition with the perfectly placed rocks in the FG

Bonjour Paul,

Cette prise de vue est très jolie. J'aime bien cette rivière infini qui offre une bonne profondeur à la composition. Bravo pour les couleurs justes et le reflet des montagnes dans l'eau.

Merci pour le partage.

Hello Paul,
It's always nice to look at a shot from Scotland. Very nice composition with reflection in the water. I like the light as well. The horizon line is somewhat skewed but overall a wonderful contribution.
Best greetings,
Michal

Paul, I do enjoy composition, which leads me to the left corner of the image.

Excellent sharpness and exposure.

Lovely colors.

This is a lovely image taken with that fantastic lens. You used it to great advantage here: great depth of focus and good color and sharpness.

Hi Paul,
Very scenic landscape. Nice PoV. Beautiful colors. Very neat image. Great to be able to see bottom of the clear water at FG. Two wet rocks at FG are really nice as part of composition. However, it seems that the horizon is tilted to lef slightly.
Excellent shot and superb PP works.

Lovely picture Paul. The composition is what I like best as it creates a lot of depth. The light is very warm. Well done and TFS!

Ps-I haven't attended TN a lot lately as I was/am very busy with my website. I think I missed another post of you. Will critique that later. ;)

Hi Paul,
A beautiful landscape. Great composition. What can be seen to the right side shore is wonderful.

Hi Paul,
An excellent composition on this beautiful and tranquil scene. I love the subdued light and very still water. This is allowing great reflections. Great depth and clarity.

Hi Paul,
What a beautiful serene place. Such a tranquil feeling. The lake really looks beautiful and no riple to see. I am thinking about going on vacation to Scotland next summer, and really hope to see such beauty.
The diagonal line created by the mountian ridge really draws my eye toward the end of the lake. The composition is perfect, especially how you offset the rocks in the FG.
I am not sure, but it I think that you worked on the contrast of the sky and took part of the mountain within the selection. The top of the ridge has slightly more contrast then the trees just below it.

Niek

if only we have such magnificent views here in SIngapore.
But thanks to you, you have allowed me to see and experience the wonders and beauty of the world and it's nature. This is a fantastic shot displaying beauty, serenity and calmness. I really love the colors. Thanks for sharing.
Steph

Hi Paul,

The exposure is nice but not a real interesting picture like the rest of your fantastic stuff you normally post, that's why I'm guessing your not getting the normal visits you normally get on his particular image. The workshop doesn't work for me. The horizontal balance is fine in your image. The sharpness in your image is fine too. It looks like there is too much saturation in the workshop. It feels unnatural. :)

que de photos avec des reflets dans l' eau, je viens encore de les regarders toutes, elles sont formidables. Amitiés Thomas

Paul, this shot's compo. is almost idenntical to one I took in British Columbia close to the headwaters of the Columbia River...

I may have to post iot as a twin, eh.
But it is not one of my "preferred" ones , so I may present it here instead. ;)

I like the softness in this shot! The colouring is too brown for my taste.
