[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Llyn Gwynant is a lake in Snowdonia, Wales. Llyn Gwynant lies on the River Glaslyn, in the Nant Gwynant valley and is about 2 km north east of Llyn Dinas; the village of Bethania lies between them. Snowdon lies 3 km to the north west. The lake is natural, having been formed by glacial action and is 50 ha in size. It is a popular place for canoeing and kayaking with easy access from the the A498 road which runs along its south bank.

It was used as a filming location in the 2003 film 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life'.
The lake and the river is fed from glaslyn.
Glaslyn on the mountain is said to hold an Afanc, a form of water dragon, banished here from the river Conwy. The lake is tainted green because of the copper ore leached into it, the colour was sometimes blamed on the creature within it.

I like this landscape - depth of space, colors, sky. Thanks for sharing

Very nice rich color to this landscape Mat.
It conveys a wonderful sense of space/depth.
A touch of sharpening wouldn't hurt, but the focus is still good. Nicely composed.

I've heard a lot about the beauty of Snowdonia, but haven't seen many photos of it. It does look wonderful and I am sure that it would be a great place to visit. I really love how the lake ends and the low lying landscape takes over. The colors are wonderful and your composition excellent. The sky is wonderful, and gave you good light to work with.
