Heron on the Beach
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This heron was hunting along the edge of the receding tide on the beach at Bangor, North Wales.
It kept pulling small items of prey from out of the seaweed but I could not tell exactly what the prey was, as I was about 40 metres away from it at the time.
I didn't try to get any closer as I have done this in the past and the heron has such keen senses and such a large area of personal space that they have always taken flight before I got the chance to get a decent shot of them.
So this is probably the best that I am going to get.

Very lovely heron you pictured here, Roy. I like the POV and the DOF. However the photo is a bit blurry and OE...so i tried changing that in a Workshop...hope it's ok with you.
