unfortunately, I have no identification of the species and
unfortunately, the specimen has lost its right hindleg
making it difficult to jump in the right direction but
making it possible to see the abdominal colour pattern very well!

I can understand you would like to know the ID of this grasshopper. But with a beauty like this, who cares? No I am just joking. It would be interesting to know the identity as well but until then I can only admire this lovely and colorful grasshopper. The fine body hairs on this insect is incredible visible, and I like the big brown eye. The pink flowers really creates a sunny and summary view and atmosphere. I like the jelly-like stem of the flower, almost like the mesem flower’s stem. Thanks for sharing. It was lovely to look at.

I like vivid colors but maybe here saturation is little bit to high. POV is very interesting we can see the grasshopper very well. Sharpness is pretty good - maybe litlle unsharp mask couls improve it.
Also nice OOF background

Wow Joey guy! It looks like a psychadelic poster from Haight Ashbury days...like a photographer who has had a bit of peyote before he went out shooting...sincerely that is the coloured effect this has...and they all seem complimentary yet some are supposed to clash yet do not...Very cool..man!

Wonderful grasshopper and a pretty picture with the pink flowers. Excellent details of the body and the head with a big eye. A very colorful insect and you show it with nice natural colors. Wonderful background carrying thru with the green and pink.

Hi Joey, this one is a real jewel. Zwarkovski makes those insects with crystal, I don't know if you know what I'm talking about. They have butterflies and all kind of bugs, they are simply beautiful. But your jewel here is far more beautiful as it is real, the colours are fantastic, it is vibrant with life and the warmth of the sunshine. Thanks, well appreciated at that time of the year!
