Hi Lesley,

Excellent! Great light on the Kite, head is clearly visible (always important IMO) and nice detail all over, the light has hit the Kite just right in this shot. Good shutter speed for getting the whole bird in detail, great exposure. Excellent timing on two fronts: a) the direction of the bird and the way the light has hit it and b) the pose of the Kite and catching the wings spread. Great colours too.

I think just to finish it off a sharpen would be good, try the unsharp mask at 160%, 0.3 pixel radius, threshold 0. Definitely worth more than one smiley!

Well captured Lesley,
Good detail, colours and timing. exposure and lighting are good. Good POV and composition.
Capturing a bird in flight is always challenging, and you've done well.
Just a tweak on the sharpness is needed, as Adrian says.
