This is another shot in the same series as my last posting, and a better one as far as detail is concerned. I meant to clone out that blade of grass by his/her tail before uploading but forgot, sigh.
Robins really are bold little birds and I've found out how bold, exactly, they are. The other day as I sat here at the computer I kept hearing soft noises from the living room behind me. Finally my curiosity was aroused enough for me to have a look. Thinking there might be a bird at the window feeders I entered the room cautiously. There wasn't a bird at the feeder but there WAS a robin sitting in one of my house plants giving me the beady eye. I watched back... it flew to another houseplant... then sat on the sofa for a while. There was no panic, it just seemed to be having a look around. When I walked further into the room it flew back out the open window... leaving me to clean up it's "calling cards" which were liberally splattered and scattered around the room.
If you look at eye, in the photo, you can see the reflection of the wide open sash window.
This was shot in the afternoon, out a west facing window. |

Hello Mish,
A fine profile capture, and the backlight makes the bird really stand out!
It is a fine composition, with good details in the plumage and the cololurs are natural and attractive...
Well done on this one!
Greetings,

Cette photo me parait intéressante surtout par son éclairage.
Le sujet reste bien net, on arrive a voir ces os au travers des pattes.bravo

Hi Mish
Wonderfully sharp and great POV. Well isolated from the background, which really makes the bird stand out. Well done.
