I recognize this charming creature. I have similar picture. Excellent composed and detailed portrait. I like effective light and perfect reproduction of difficult for shooting black colour tone. State of mood of this bird is reflected very well. My compliments and TFS.

Those birds seems very territorial and more when they are nesting. I saw some today but there is no way I could approached them that close. Like I often say to Necip, only you English people could approaches that close to a CANADA goose :) Thanks,

Hello Nicholas -

Yep, that's a Canadian and you are right they are quite common in North America and almost a nuisance here in Denver during the winter months. But, from what I have seen elsewhere they can and do range the whole world. My wife and I are going on safari next year and have purchased an East Africa bird book and they list the Canada Goose as being common in Kenya. Great idea to capture just the neck and head. Great detail, exposure, and sharpness. Well done!

If this is a crop from a larger exposure, then it works well.
