Lovely picture - his expression seems to say he isn't pleased with the weather. It's nice to see weather conditions like this - all we have are blue skies and no clouds. The colors, details, pose and setting are wonderful.

I like the overcast ambience in this very original picture, Gary. The two tone BG serves extremely well in highlighting the subject -- the female Chaffinch.
The image is well composed with perfect colours and details on the bird in the existing light.

Hi Gary,

This is a lovely simple compostion with perfect depth of focus. The pose of the bird and the colors are really nice. I wonder if you sharpened the image after resizing for uploading to TN. It is a tiny bit soft but sharpened up nicely when I tried it.

Lovely capture of this Chaffinch lady looking a bit sad? I like its pose on the green branch very much and the background fits very nicely. Sharp details and nice colours too.

Hi Gary,
Good alround picture of this Chaffinch.
Great positioning in the frame and set off by the foliage.
I feel needs to be a touch lighter to bring out more feather detail.
I not you say you do little PP but I find that nearly all digital photo's require s touch of sharpening. This is not due to the photographer but the medium used, even with the best DSLRs.
