Photo of grebe taken at Alton Water a local reserve and reservoir. I was actually waiting for Sand Martins but this fellow came along instead.
Great crested Grebes were once hunted to near extinction in UK due to their plumes being coveted in the hat trade. Fortunately today they are safe and doing pretty well. |

Hi Julian,
Lovely photo of the Gr Cr Grebe. The water droplets show it has just come up from a dive and they enhance the picture. Colouring is great and the whole picture is nicely sharpened.
TFS.
Regards,
Peter

This looks nice Julian. Good saturation and the wake gives something extra.
