The Marsh Harrier was working hard, hunting to feed one of it's 2 nests of chicks at the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss. I caught it as it passed in front of the hide some distance away. The picture has been hard cropped.
Camera settings:- ISO 100, AV, Spot metering, Auto White Balance, 1.4 x converter, IS on, Remote shutter cord, 840mm focal length. |

Hi Peter. Good shot from so far away. still good detail . your capture shows the wings of well. you can see it looking for food. very well done TFS.good notes to.
Nick.
Surprised to see little in the way of comments here Peter. It's a really good shot...showing the bleak, lonely, solitary hunting of this seldom seen harrier. Like the hint of environment to break up the sky, and the harrier, in typical pose, is detailed enough to be easily recognised. Best, Brat.

I like it Pete. Not an easy species to capture I am sure. Far easier to send a 4 oz weight 200 metres eh?
