This evening light picture was taken from a hide at the reserve on the coast at Marshside, Southport.
I thought the reflection looked good.
Camera settings:- ISO 400, AV, Spot metering, 560mm focal length, Auto white balance, 1.4 x converter, IS on, Hand held.
I have re-posted the picture after altering the border and cropping as suggested by Ori (fragman) |

Hi Peter, this is a lovey shot of the Shelduck, I have not yet seen them in the wild. Your pov shows those lovely markings and the reflection is wonderful. Good exposure in the evening light.

I like this picture very much, firstly because the pose of your duck is excellent, he looks so proud with his head high ! Secondly, I am completely fond of the reflection on the water, it is very beautiful. Excellent composition and colors. Very well done !

Wonderful framing with the offset and love the reflection. Crisp image showing the plumage to the full.
