[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a relatively young eagle owl. I photographed her at the Falconry Centre at Settle in West Yorkshire. You may have seen a couple of other birds that I managed to film there on a very misty and rain-speckled day.

The birds are well cared for and can be viewed on most days. They are flown for their own fitness and for the benefit of the visitors who are usually eager to see birds of prey in action. Besides viewing the birds, visitors can also fly the birds but obviously, this costs more!

There are many different birds at the centre including owls, vultures and hawks.

pp adj. brightness and contrast slightly, attempted to sharpen but found it gave a very artificial effect to the owl's features so cancelled it in preference to the softer look, added border and resized for web
