Hi Nicholas,
Splendid shot of the Goldfinch. Lovely colours and details on its plumage and the pose you have captured is graceful and charming. The focus is spot-on and the lighting is marvellous. Though there is a bit of noise the composition is superb and the POV is great. Kudos.

Hi Nick,
Just a tiny bit of graininess and hotspots of slightly over-exposed whites, but nothing to detract from the nice photo of the Greenfinch. Very nice pose, excellent composition, great catch-light in eye, nice exposure and colors on bird.

Well I owe you one. I have looked all over the net for an ID of this bird which my neighbor had spotted and described to me. There were a few pictures but none of them matched nor were of as good quality as this one which gave me the ID. Evidently this is an overlooked or under looked bird, or at least it was till your post!
