I remember seeing this - or similar - growing in Cape Province and Had always wondered what it was!

You are right, this one is not only amazing but really strange plant species. I believe that this is a kind of cacti, am I right?
I have to say that I have never seen anything similar to this species. It is so flatt! But how big is it?
I am really impressed in this picture, once again I found a very interesting plant on your picture and learned something new :)
