[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Came across this bird and fish whilst walking along Newquay beach. It was very shocking to see, not only because both the fish and bird were dead, but also because of the unusual scene that is presented. I appreciate everyone's feedback. I understand that many people may not wish to see photos of dead birds, but isn't death part of nature?

Not sure what to make of this. It looks like a fossil that has been somehow brought back to life. Good as it makes you ponder.

Hello Nicola,
Seems obviuous to me that the fish died first because otherwise it gould have swimmed away.
Terreble sight though to see both of them dead on the beach.
Don't know why, but I feel more sorry for the wonderful bird than the fish.
Might be because I would eat the fish myself and never such bird.
Seems like the bird did capture a fish that was to big for him and choked.
Great documentary shot but terrible to look at.
Excellent work though to show us wat can happen in wildlife/nature.
Perfect composition, viewing angle, sharpness and lighting.

This is an interesting capture, although in all honesty I must tell you that "most" viewers really don't want to see dead animals..Your image does have good details, color, and exposure. A note on where/how you got the shot would be a big plus..

Interesting shot.
Too big a fish probably. Some fish can't be vomitted because of some spicky bones.
I'm surprised because most of sea birds can eat enormous fish.
[ospreys are known to die if the fish is too big: they can't remove their claws from the fish body. The fish dies too]
