Looks like it was posing specially for you before it did run in to the water again.
Technically excellent shot with great sharpness, exposure and composition.
Details in the fur and light are wonderful and the Otter does stand out wonderfully against the greens.

This is a nice sharp capture Karan. I like that you captured the alert personality that this critters have. Do you convert your images to sRBG color before uploading to the web? The color seems a bit undersaturated on my monitor. It isn't bed it just looks like it needs a bit of contrast and a color boost. I know my images lose that on uploading if I don't compensate for it.

Hi Karan

What a great shot. they are such good fun the otters at BWC... I'm back there in October on a wildlife shoot... you have caught this one really well.. guessing he stayed far enough away to focus on... When I was there last, they played tag with out shoes whilst be were sitting inside their pen (allowed on photo shoots) which meant that they got too close to focus on!

I love otters and your pic is beautiful. Perfect shot with to nits.

My sister found a dead one last winter. That's terrible. But at least we know now that they didn't disappeared from the district. Last report of an otter there was 60 years ago.
