Hi Karan,
Splendid shot of the Fallow Buck among the golden grasses as it sits there with its head held high in an elegant posture. Superb light and shadow effect and very neat exposure. Excellent POV to portray this scene and very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Karan,
I knew the season was about to start and a fellow photographer mentioned to me that the few weeks before the rut are even better, since the fighting is more severe. I think I will be heading out to a spot about an hour away within a few weeks to see what I can manage to capture.
This is a great photo in anticipation to the rutting season. The 'sleepy' look of fallow is a nice opposite of what is to be expected. I like the serene look and the lighting a lot. The high grasses surrounding the deer give a wonderful feel to the photo as well.

Hi Karen,
it's getting towards that time again isn't it? I went to the forest again today to try to get some myself. Unfortunately it's bank holiday and the place was crawling with people, so the Deer were staying well hidden.
Great setting here though with this young Stag enjoying some shade. The colour of the grass is very nice and i like the eye contact. Good sharp focus and perfect DOF.

A very good shot with exemplary lighting..I go to work at through the night and I have met a few stags over the years that will not move even if you blast your horn and turn off your lights!!..they are very territorial in the rutting season when they are protecting thier females.

You do seem to have sedative effect on your subjects! : )

I love the soft color of these deer. I do think you lost a bit of saturation in the upload. The image looks richer when drug to my desktop. Do you convert to sRGB color space before working on the image for upload to the web? I tried a bit of a crop off both sides and the top. I think it gives the image a bit more impact. I don't think there is anything wrong with your presentation but it is another option and interesting comparison.

Mighty impressive picture of a Stag, Karan. The fellow looks at ease, surrounded by the tall grasses.

really nice shot if this resting deer in tree shade, looks like he is not even realize that you take his picture. The color composition is good, seems natural and clasic, the exposure and focus also bring the object into the details, the space to the left is a bit too wide I guess but overall is very well composed picture, TFS
